The Canadian Open Data Experience (CODE) is an intense 48-hour coding sprint.

There are more than 200,000 federal datasets accessible in Canada's Open Government portal (data.gc.ca).

During the 2015 CODE Hackathon:

  • 1,300 participants from coast to coast to coast
  • 125 apps created
  • 300 teams across the country, making code 2015 the largest hackathon in Canadian history
